| For those of you that didn't know, Rich at ReviewTechUSA had several anonymous sources claiming that Sony was planning on doing DRM all along. Then they saw the reaction that Microsoft received from it, and backed away. According to Rich's sources, the day 1 update included with the PS4 removes all DRM policies. Thankfully, Rich's sources have been proven wrong today, and Rich himself admitted it. There are new articles emerging of an early adopter of the PS4 playing his system offline BEFORE the new update was even released. The early adopter also posted status updates to Twitter, and some cool stuff about Killzone: Shadow Fall. Anyway, what do you guys think about this? Was Sony ruling out DRM from the very beginning, or do you think they at least considered it? Here is the video where Rich made his predictions based on the information his sources provided him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=U6h9l5Gb5hEHere is the article that Rich himself posted, which proved his sources wrong: http://gearnuke.com/early-receiver-ps4-states-day-one-update-live-yet-shows-killzone-shadow-fall/ | |
